What do I do if I forget my password or want to reset it?
There are two ways you can log into your account when you have forgotten your password.
- The first would be in your WeChat application. When you have forgotten your password, tap “Forgot password?” and you will be able to log in via an SMS code sent to your phone.
- Another way is to reset your password via email. Navigate to support.wechat.com/getpassword?lang=en and select “Reset password via email”.
The best way to avoid a forgotten password is to use WeChat’s Voiceprint feature that allows you to log in to your account using your voice.
